iDemolished

Do you love Angry Birds?  iDemolished puts a unique twist on Angry Birds.  Are you tired of trying to aim the slingshot perfectly?  iDemolished is all about placing sticks of explosives in the right spots, and clicking the boom button.  The game offers over fifty levels, but also lets you create your own, and upload them online for other players to enjoy.

I love playing this game on my phone, and tablet.  Another little twist they added is you can influence the way the blocks fall by tilting your phone in the direction you want them to fall.  It makes the game quite addicting, and fun.

You never run out of content with all the player made content.  I have seen some pretty amazing levels made by players.  The best part is the game is not just about playing, but if you are the one who likes crafting in games than you will really love being able to make your own levels for other players to play.

Refraction

Do you love Portal?  Do you love the challenge of solving puzzles in games?  Refraction reminds me of Portal where you have to use your brain to figure out how to solve the puzzle, and complete the level. There are over 120 puzzles to solve in Refraction.

It is the free Amazon app of the day today, but if you miss it the best part is it is normally only about a $1.  It will be a dollar very well spent when you spend hours, and hours playing the game on your smartphone, or tablet.

The game is pretty simple to understand.  You basically have static colored lasers that have to be reflected by a selected amount of mirrors, and prisms to the same colored circle.  It sounds easy, but the puzzles can get really complicated to solve.

The mirrors are simple.  They simply reflect the same color laser.  You can move the mirrors anywhere, and rotate the degree of the mirror to change the angle of the reflection.  The prism works so that it takes the color, and splits it into its primary colors.  For example it will take am orange laser, and than sprout a yellow, and red laser out the other sides.

The exciting part also about Refraction is there are several different solutions to each puzzle level.  The game tracks your best record of the shortest distance, the least amount of mirrors, and prisms used to solve the puzzle.  It also lets you take screenshots that saves to your SD card.  How cool is that?

Fieldrunners Is Tons Of Fun

Do you have an Android, or Apple smartphone or tablet?  Do you enjoy tower defense games?  Would you pay only $3 for a great game?  If you answered yes than this game will give you hours of enjoyment.

Currently I am playing it on my tablet, and I can't put it down.  Seriously.  The only reason I stopped playing to write this review is because I have been playing games on my tablet all day, and it finally needed to be put on the charger.

Fieldrunners is tons of fun.  I instantly was addicted to it in the first minute.  The game is really quick to learn, and before long you keep getting farther, and farther into the game.  So what is the game all about that makes it so fun?

On one end you have your fort, or base.  On the other end soldiers, tanks, and etc try to make it to your base.  The object is to build towers to kill, or blow them up before they reach you.  You initially start off with a small sum of money, and have to work yourself up to afford the better towers.  The towers are $5, $10, $20, and $70.

The strategy I start off with is with the cheap ones.  I line them up, and as I get more money I keep upgrading my towers as I get closer to my base.  Each round offers a different level of difficulty.  You may get massive amounts of low health soldiers to kill, and really slow high health tanks, helicopters, and so on.

The rounds go pretty quick, and each new game you figure out a new strategy to use.  I have finished about 50 rounds as my highest round completed so far, but once my tablet recharges I plan on blowing that record out of the water.

It is games like Fieldrunners. and other game apps lately that give me more enjoyment than the $60 titles these days.  Is it the simplicity, or what that makes these games so addicting, and fun?
