Tonight I decided to give Fallout 3 another shot. It is still a little frustrating at times because I feel like I don't know what I am doing. The more I played it tonight though the more I started feeling more comfortable with the game.
I decided to follow the story, and the questing this time. It sure beats just roaming around with no sense of purpose. I initially had a hard time figuring out where to go for the quests. I actually took a small break, and read the manual. It is amazing what you can learn from reading it. I at least now understand what all the things on the compass, and map stand for.
I still am not 100% sure I understand all the perks, skills, leveling up stuff yet. I am sure eventually it will all make more sense as I progress, and learn as I go. The manual explains most of it, but it still seems greek to me.
I still am dying a ton. I can't seem to ever have enough stimpaks, or caps to buy them. I swear sometimes it seems like my guns aren't shooting. You never know maybe they aren't. I totally forgot about the VATS until I saw it in the manual so I may have to use it more. I seem to go into a panic when I see an enemy, and the next thing I know is I see my head rolling around with blood everywhere.
