I must be getting older, and grumpier. It seems so many games have faults I just can't get past. Have I just raised my standards so high that nothing can achieve my expectations? I just keep throwing money down the drain in games I don't like, but somehow initially I think the game will be great.
My most recent game I blew forty bucks on is Divinity II. I watched the trailers, and the screenshots made it seem that I would enjoy this game. I really thought I would enjoy this game after playing Kingdoms of Amalur. The game doesn't even come close to living up to KOA.
The UI seemed really clunky, and the story just didn't grab me. Of course the idea of fighting dragons sounded awesome, but the game just couldn't hook me. I had to force myself to keep playing to see if eventually it would get better. After a few hours I couldn't take it any more.
