Why Does Steam Make It Easy To Pull The Trigger On Buying Games?

I have avoided buying games on Steam for years.  Some gamers I follow on Twitter started talking about the Summer Sale.  The prices just seemed too good to be true.  I had to sign up, and check it out for myself.

I am now asking myself why I waited so long to take advantage of Steam.  I was like a kid in the candy store.  I couldn't control my urge to buy so many games.  I bought Witcher 2, Oblivion, Portal 2, and the new free to play Team Fortress 2.

I am excited to play them all even though I am still trying to finish Fable III.  The problem is there are about ten more games I want to buy off of Steam.  It has been a long time since I have had multiple interest in different games at the same time.

I sort of blame it all on my MMORPG passion the last ten years or so.  I felt like I couldn't play other games, or someone would have better gear, or whatever.  It is nice to finally open up my gaming to other genres like when I was a kid, and played every new game that came out.

It is crazy though on Steam.  I don't know if it is the discounts or what, but I find it easy to buy several games at once, and want to add even more.

I am really glad to be playing a bigger variety of games, and expand my audience here on Wasdstomp.  It is nice to not talk about the same old game every single day.  Which game will I play first?  I still don't know, but I am thinking Portal 2.
