My newest Minecraft creation is looking pretty sweet. You can view my latest video My Minecraft Vegas Style Hotel, and give it a thumbs up on Youtube. I am not sure if I am done with it or not. I have a few ideas, but I am not sure if I should just move on to something completely new.
I had a ragequit moment while building my vegas style hotel. I was experimenting with some fountains out front, and it just didn't look like I wanted. I was trying to go for the Bellagio hotel look, but the fountains just looked dumb. I decided it was time to try out tnt for the first time. I piled it up, and it barely even made a dent in destroying the stone fountains. Eventually I finally blew them up completely.
After feeling pretty good about how tnt worked I decided it was much easier to use tnt to remove all the sand in front of the hotel. I layed quite a few tnt in the area, and lit the wood plank fuse. I ran for my life, and when I turned around I just wanted to cry. I guess the power of tnt in sand, and stone are way different. I blew up half of my hotel. It literally looked like a bomb went off in front of the building.
I spent the next several hours rebuilding everything. Did I say how much it sucks to rebuild something? Anyways I finally finished it again for the second time, and filled in the 25x50 crater left from the tnt blast with water.
It isn't the way I planned for this hotel to look on the outside, but nothing seemed to look good. I am thinking about building a casino behind it, or a golf course. I may just make it a whole new project. I haven't decided exactly what to do yet.
