How fast do you think a caster is going to gain levels compared to melee in Guild Wars 2? You would have to be crazy to not play a caster.
I love how they are implementing that if you do any damage to a mob you get full xp for the mob. How easy is it going to be to go AoE spec during the leveling process, and level up lightning fast?
I could just run across the zone spamming AoE on every mob, and than just sit back, and wait for the xp to roll in as other players do 95% of the damage to the mob.
Will this eventually piss off other players? How could a melee player be happy about this? There is no way they are going to be able to keep up with the leveling of casters.
Will this be used to exploit leveling up alts later on. What would stop a level 1 caster going with a max level character to a zone, and spraying mobs with AoE while the max level character kills the mobs. It sounds like you would be able to powerlevel your alts in record time.
Guild Wars 2 has been on my radar for a few months, and it seems like it is catching on like wildfire now among the blogging community. Check out Heartless Gamer ,Bio Break, and Scarybooster.
It will be all about timing now. Who will release something first SWTOR, Cataclysm, WAR expansion, or Guild Wars 2?
I think most players are hungry for their next fix, and it will be interesting to see how it all plays out.
