After seeing the most recent Guild Wars 2 trailer today I suddenly put this game on my radar. The game looks really amazing. I can think of five reasons I will buy this game when it's released.
Races
The races seem very interesting. It is not the same old races you find in every other MMO. You can choose between Charr, Sylvari, Norn, Asura, and Human. I think I want to play a Charr.
Free to Play
Just like in Guild Wars this game will be free to play. No monthly subscriptions to pay to be able to play this game. The great thing about it is you know there will always be expansions, and new content because that is how they make money.
PvP at all Levels
It will be similar to the original Guild Wars where in the PvP instanced zones everyone will be the same level, have access to the same skills, and etc. How can you not like that?
Sidekick System
They are implementing a sidekick system that players and friends of varying levels will be able to do content together. I guess it will be like how it works in City of Heroes. It sounds like a great way to get friends to play doesn't it?
Underwater Zones
There will be underwater zones. They are eliminating drowning, etc that you find in most other traditional MMO's. This sounds pretty similar to what we saw in the Aion vision trailer.
Soloable to Max Level
You will be able to reach max level without ever joining a group. It is always reassuring knowing that if groups aren't available that you will still be able to progress in leveling. Leveling will also be anti grind which is always a plus in my book.
