As time goes on I am able to see more population data using Warhammer Census. The population numbers are starting to print a better picture on how people are playing the game.
The first question is the free trial really bringing new players to the game? Is it a good enough percentage to make the game grow, or just enough to replace the players quitting?
Currently here are the Tier 1 Warhammer Online population numbers
Badlands 10911
Ironrock 8594
Gorfang 8090
Volkmar 7435
Now here is the total Warhammer online population numbers
Badlands 21265
Ironrock 15490
Gorfang 15452
Volkmar 13513
As you can see by these numbers that at least 50% or more of each servers population is in tier 1. That in itself is a very promising number. It means more and more people are trying the game out, and could eventually become paying customers with a monthly subscription.
Now let us focus more on the Tier 1 Warhammer Online population numbers. Here is currently the population numbers for levels 1-9
Badlands 8821
Ironrock 7171
Gorfang 6463
Volkmar 6138
Now lets take a look at tier 1 free trial players locked at the cap of level 10. This better represents those who are using the free trial to its full potential. How many of these are regular subscribers using a free trial account for fun in tier 1?
Badlands 1503
Ironrock 975
Gorfang 1165
Volkmar 931
Okay so now lets look at players who make it to tier 2 at level 13. I decided to use 13 instead of 12 to eliminate twinks that eventually cap out of tier 1. Is there a huge dropoff? Are players sticking it out to tier 4?
Badlands 411
Ironrock 340
Gorfang 286
Volkmar 263
So the conversion rate looks pretty promising. It looks like at least 25%-30% of free trial users are upgrading to a regular subscription account. The question is are they sticking it out to Tier 4, and eventually rank 40. These numbers represent tier 4 without rank 40's included.
Badlands 1232
Ironrock 772
Gorfang 782
Volkmar 671
By these numbers it looks like about a 10% conversion rate from the overall tier 1 numbers to tier 4. How many are actually making it to rank 40.
Currently the rank 40 Warhammer Online population numbers are really not that high compared to how many new players are trying out the game.
Badlands 3792
Ironrock 2548
Gorfang 2442
Volkmar 2446
How many of these 40's are alts? I think most players have at least two 40's so what are the real subscription numbers for Warhammer Online?

What Is The Population Of The Warhammer Servers?
I first want to thank Rollie over at Warcraftrealms. I have been submitting data to his site since I started playing World of Warcraft, and he kindly made a Census Addon for me for Warhammer Online.
After not being updated for months he updated it again. Now anyone can download the Censusplus addon, and capture population data, and than upload it to the Warcraft Realms website.
No more fights over Xfire, or Raptor stats. This captures every player currently online each time you run it. I will start uploaded data today myself so it gives everyone a better gauge on how the game population really is doing. I will be running it mostly for the Order faction on each server.
The more people running this Censusplus Addon the more accurate the data is going to be. So everyone do it this weekend so by Monday we can have some great numbers to look at.
