What if you hate a gaming genre?

I have always seemed to hate strategy games.  I usually uninstall most of them in the first five minutes.  I just hate the idea of sitting there, and watching my screen.  I may as well just watch a movie instead.

The weirdest thing happened today.  I saw this game app featured today on my phone.  I check out the ratings, and reviews.  It is recommended as the best game for 99 cents.  I still didn't want to pull the trigger.  I have been burnt so many other times with strategy games that I didn't even care to waste the dollar.

I couldn't get the game out of my mind.  I went back, but still couldn't hit the purchase button.  I decided to read more reviews.  I found out there was a free version.  I download the free version, and start playing.

The game Plague, inc is amazing.  I played it until my phone battery died, and my tablet battery died.  I just couldn't put the game down.

Basically you are trying to kill all humans in the world by spreading a deadly bacteria.  you can eventually unlock other diseases.

You initially start by infecting one country.  You have to strategize between three things.  Do you want to slow down the cure, transmit it faster, or find ways to make the symptoms worse. I have discovered you have to do a little of each.

The game is pretty complex for a game that only costs a buck.  The three methods are than broken down into a talent tree type branching system for advancing your disease.

I give Plague, inc two thumbs up.  You will get hours and hours of enjoyment out of the game.
