I decided to buy Game Maker Studio Pro today. I figured that maybe I could make my own Indie game, and become an instant millionaire like Notch. I spent most of the night playing around with it, and just trying to figure out how things work.
I have come to the conclusion that there is a ton of stuff to learn. The cool thing about it is how much fun I am having trying to make my own game. Right now I really don't know what I want to make so I am just making a basic maze level game for now just to learn the basics.
After staying up to 4AM I have learned a few things. I can calculate a score, add, subtract, and etc. I can use collision to make the player start over if he hits any walls. I can make it so the player can advance to the next level.
Exciting stuff huh? Well it isn't totally exciting right now, but my brain is working a hundred miles an hour trying to think of something really cool, and addictive to make.
