I Learned How To Shoot, Score, and Destroy Things

Today I basically toyed around with my second game for about five hours.  I added a ton of new stuff, and than five hours into it I put in some code that stopped it from running.  After about an hour of debugging I just gave up trying to figure it out, and decided to start my third game.

My third game is very, very, very simple.  I think I could market it to parents who have two year olds who like to play games.  It isn't really about the game right now anyways.  It is about finally figuring out how to do things in Game Maker Studio.

I can finally say I figured out the scoring for the levels, but still haven't really figured out how to post highscores.  I also finally was able to get shooting to work.  I can now blow stuff up.  I also sort of figured out how to animate my sprites, but it still doesn't quite look right.  There has to be something that is preventing it from being smooth.   I figured out how to create a starting title screen too.

Below is a video of my game that lasts a whole 11 seconds.  I won't even tell you how long it took me to create it.  It is like setting up dominoes where it takes hours, and hours to set up each piece, and mere seconds to destroy.
