Last night I have to say I was a little frustrated, and feeling stuck in Diablo 3. I logged out, and played a little Minecraft to calm down a little bit. It worked.
I logged back in to Diablo 3, and decided to try something totally new. I decided to join a public game. I never new how great this feature was going to be. It was totally what I needed.
I was able to choose the quest I was on, and join any public game where that person was on the same quest. It was a little bit of trial, and error though. I tried a few games, and it wasn't until I was paired up with another Barbarian that we began to rock.
It is the best duo I think. We sliced through elite mobs like they were butter. Previously it was usually suicide runs, and lots of repair bills. We were progressing very nicely. We never hit a bump in the road. It was smooth sailing all the way till he had to log.
The other great thing is in Public games you are playing with players your same level, and same mode. It seems most friends are still on normal, or nightmare mode. The next problem is everyone is working on a different part. This makes public games the best option.
I think from now on I won't be playing solo, and will always join a public game. It also gave me new friends who are in the same general part of the game. I can't wait to play again tonight.
