I should have known it was going to happen. I was addicted to farming the World of Warcraft auction house, and now I am to the Diablo 3 one. It is so easy to make gold on them that it becomes what I enjoy most about the game. It is like crafting almost.
The problem is I really don't want that. I love playing Diablo 3, but I now find myself spending several hours a day farming the auction house. My addiction has really become bad now that I have discovered the secret to making thousands of gold. I just can't stop farming it. I swear it has taken control over my body, and life.
The addiction is so strong that I am passing up playing the Guild Wars 2 beta weekend to farm the Diablo 3 auction house instead. It just seems crazy that a game that wasn't even on my buy list has consumed my life, and the game I thought would I have become disinterested in.
Hopefully by the time Guild Wars 2 releases I will be burned out of Diablo 3, and be ready to start a new adventure. I guess only time will tell what I end up playing.
