Bejeweled Blitz is strangely addicting. I don't even understand why I keep playing it. I keep trying to improve my scores, but it seems I can only do really well when I earn enough coins for boosts, and special gems.
I have watched some videos on Youtube, and it is amazing how fast some people are at matching three blocks. I find myself thinking to much, and the next thing I know is my minute is up. The only worthwhile special gem is the Phoenix Prism it seems.
I now understand how PopCap makes money. I didn't realize you can buy free spins, and coins. The temptation is really strong to do it, but really there is no reason to do it. It isn't like you win a million dollars if you get the high score.
They make it cheap enough that it makes the temptation very easy. No one usually has a problem spending five to ten dollars on something. As of right now I am resisting the urge, and just playing a ton of games. The process is equivalent to grinding out levels in an MMO. It is very slow, and tedious but eventually the coins add up to where you can spend 75k on the phoenix prism.
