I finished Kingdoms of Amalur the other day, and moved on. I still had Fallout 3, and Skyrim in my to play queue. I just didn't know which one I really wanted to play. I have heard great things about both games, and the only way to know was to try both of them out.
I actually gave Fallout 3 a whirl before Amalur, and it wasn't quite doing it for me. I thought it was going to be a descent game until I left the vault. After escaping the game just seemed so blah, and I couldn't muster up enough motivation to keep playing. I kept running out of ammo in fights, and it really annoyed the heck out of me.
Yesterday I dove into Skyrim. Once again the game just seems blah to me. I just don't like the whole theme to the graphics. I played it for several hours, but it felt like it was being forced. It seemed everything about the game just wasn't exciting.
There is something about Kingdoms of Amalur that keeps drawing me back. I really do enjoy the game. The graphics are eye appealing, and I just find myself wanting to play it.
I feel since I rushed through the game that I missed alot about the game. I am still using the same character, but I am going to have a little fun with crafting, completing all the quests, and etc. I can play the game for hours, and still yearn for more.
I think eventually I will play the game with a new character, and try another build. I have always had a bad habit of playing alts. I may try even being a bad person to see if it changes any part of the game.
As of right now I am going back to Amalur. Fallout 3, and Skyrim will most likely be collecting dust for a while, and see if later on down the road the games can lure me in.
