Do you love League of Legends? Bloodline Champions is an arena style PvP game with ladders. I discovered this game from my free bag of swag at PAX. You can have 2v2, and 3v3 battles. There are many different avatars to choose from.
The best part I like about the game is WASD movement. It just makes moving around so much easier. The only downfall I saw was there really isn't a mouse look where you can right click your mouse, and look around. You can use your mouse middle scroll to look around the map that way, but it just seems a little awkward to me.
It still uses the top down view which bugs me in games. I just want to be able to have third person view. Is it really that difficult to do? Is there some reason companies use the top down view? I just kept trying to mouse look, and ended up firing off my spells instead.
Each avatar comes with a set of abilities, and an Ultimate ability. It makes it very easy to learn your avatar with just a small amount of spells. Every ability is spammable, and nothing has cooldowns which is pretty sweet.
In battles you can earn Funcom coins to buy things in the marketplace. You can buy new skins, avatars, weapon skins, and more. You earn coins based on your kills, and if you are playing ranked games you can earn even more.
The game is very fast paced, and fun. It is definitely the type of games I enjoy playing. I can now just hop in, and pvp without worrying about gear, grinds, and etc. I definitely need to practice more, and maybe eventually I will prefer the top down view. For now it just seems frustrating because I am not used to it.
I would definitely check Bloodline Champions out if you love arena styled PvP.
