Why Every Gamer Should Own A Tablet

How can you justify spending $600+ for a tablet?  I know it sounds expensive when compared to the price of laptops, desktops, netbooks, and of course smartphones.  Find out why my smartphone is nothing but an expensive pocket watch now that I bought my tablet.

So why should gamers buy one?  You can't play real games so what is the point?  All I can say is I said the same things before I bought mine.  It only took a few days to realize how nice a tablet is.  So what makes it so nice?

The biggest thing is the size.  Have you ever tried playing games on your smartphone?  It is possible, but the small screen sucks for most of the games when they require touching.  I had tons of games on my phone, but seldom played them because my fat fingers made it frustrating.  Tablets are basically the same size as computer monitors were about five years ago when you had a 15 inch that had a 13 inch viewing.

I find myself enjoying all the games on my tablet now.  It has gone from playing for five minutes on my smartphone to hours on my tablet.  It isn't that I downloaded some killer games recently, but the same ones I have on my phone.  I ended up playing Plants vs. Zombies for over two hours at Starbucks today, and didn't even realize how much time had went by.

The game is crazy addicting.  I kept saying to myself I will clear this level, and stop. The next thing you know you are laying sunflowers, pea pods, walnuts, and everything else you earn as you keep clearing levels.  It is like oh cool I can know have a freezing pea pod that slows the zombies.  I have to try it out, and bam you realize you just played three more levels.

I suggest not downloading Guitar Hero 5 unless you have lots of time on your hands.  The crazy game sucked me in as I kept wanting to improve my efficiency.  I must have played it for a few hours today too.  I think that game is kind of catchy because of the music.

It is just not the games that are better, but everything.  I actually don't mind browsing the internet now on my tablet, but it literally sucked on my phone.  It is nice to be able to follow links in Twitter, and G+ without spending an hour waiting for it to load the website, and still have a hard time trying to read it.  I can actually keep up with all the gaming sites if they post something on Twitter, or G+ that I want to read while I am at work.

You can now actually make out pictures instead of squinting your eyes, and trying to make out the details. Videos run super smooth.  I love 4g LTE, and yes I live in Portland so 4g is pretty widespread in the metro area.  No more stupid buffering while trying to watch some new game trailer everyone is talking about, and you are stuck at your work trying to watch it on your smartphone as it sucks your battery dry in five minutes.

The battery life on my tablet is unbelievable compared to my smartphone.  If I use my phone alot at work it will be dead by the end of my shift easy.  With a tablet it has about 10 times longer battery life than a smartphone.

I really think tablets are the future of gaming.  I wouldn't be surprised that in a few years you are going to be able to use a tablet, and integrate it to use for any console gaming.  I know it is coming.  Anyone want to bet me that it happens within the next couple years?

Anyways all I can do is highly recommend that everyone gets a tablet, and ditches their smartphones.
