After falling in love with The Game of Thrones show on HBO it started to make me think it would make a great game. I am not talking about following the lore 100%, but taking some ideas from the show that would make it the new trend setting MMORPG everyone has been waiting for.
Everyone knows in the back of their minds that SWTOR, and GW2 probably won't bring much new to the table. Of course everyone will hype them up, and three months later everyone will be complaining about the same things as every other new game. Either the grind sucks, pvp grind sucks, pve sucks, graphics suck, or whatever.
It seems the biggest gripe most PvP players have is the unbalance of having only two factions. It always ends up that one side dominates the other until every quits, rerolls, or transfers servers. Why not have multiple factions like Game of Thrones?
I don't know all the details, but basically every guild would have an heirarchy, and rule a kingdom. These kings would than fight to take over other kingdoms, or there own kingdom decides to overthrow or kill their current king to get someone else they want to be king to give them more power.
I just think with a game something like Game of Thrones would always make the game interesting. There would be plots within kingdoms, and plots to take over other ones. I think it would be the best pvp game ever made.
