I had a great time tonight on the Warhammer Online Webcast by Mykiel. I never realized how entertaining these are.
The show started off with Mykiel drinking a box of wine. By the end he was puking, or as he calls it flash vomiting. He came back wearing a man robe. It was so funny.
Andy showed up, and joined the Webcast. He answered so many questions. I knew I should of written them down.
The biggest question I asked was about a third faction? I don't remember exactly his response, but I got the vibe it is coming. Maybe it was me reading something into his answer, but I think it is coming.
I also asked about stats on RvR gear? He said they were taking a look at it. At last maybe I don't have to wear DP gear with my Warlord. I really hope they do add crit to the rvr gear, and get rid of the worthless stats, and set bonuses that everyone hates.
Many people asked about the city changes, and he couldn't talk to much about it. His one hint was that city sieges were going to be more Team Fortressish. It will be exciting to see all the changes. He said it will be completely different than what we are used to.
I also asked about diminishing returns on renown. They have discussed it before, but have decided to keep it in the game.
Also someone asked about the Nemesis system that was mentioned once, and never talked about again. Carrie popped into the webcast, and said to watch out for the Book of Grudges. It sounds like something at least similar to the nemesis system is coming.
Another question was about going to a f2p model, or like a station pass model where you could play daoc, war, and UO for a bundle subscription. He replied that they are looking into all options to see what fits the game the best.
Someone asked about Paul Barnett, and he said he still is at Mythic HQ, and the four bloggers visiting tomorrow will most likely see him. I would love to meet him in RL.
Oh I almost forgot this question about will WAR subscribers get a beta invite to SWTOR? He answered no comment, but I would think they would since they gave daoc players war beta invites.
There were many more questions answered, but I don't remember all of them. Hopefully others who were on the webcast can leave a comment on some of the other questions that were asked, and answered.
I have to hand it to Mythic for being part of the blogging community. Even though I am negative alot about the game I still love to play the game. Every time I see their involvement with the community the more it makes me love Warhammer Online.
